I don't make New Year's resolutions because I don't keep New Year's resolutions. I do, however, choose one little word each year. We started this tradition last year, and because I liked it, I will do it again.
This year my word is "write." This means that I will attempt to write every day. I have started a novel and a memoir, so between those two things and my blogs, I will try to write every day.
Do you make resolutions or do you choose one little word?

Wow...what a great idea.
A word.
I usually ditch the resolution by day 3...but a word I might could do.
Brilliant.
I love this idea. Im still trying to decide what it is I want to do...maybe that should be my New Year's resolution, quit taking so long to decide...hmmmm.
Both. My word is vocare-- Latin for providing a service or vocation I've been I'll and unable to work or do the mundane things of life but am finally feeling better. God has really helped me, and I want to find my gift that I can help others with. My dad died unexpectedly last Feb and donated his organs, so maybe I could help people going through that.
I also have a resolution. This year I'm going to bring more joie de vivre in my life. Enjoy more everyday things and go out of my way to do more fun stuff with my family.
I vacillate. This year however, I've decided to focus on my health and get my B/P down and hopefully off meds.

I made a list of resolutions many years ago and I have always been glad I did. Now I have a ready made list each New Year's that has never been used before.
Good luck on your word and Happy New Year, Sunshine.
