Cream Cheese Cookie Bars

I'll warn you right now that these are addicting and oh so yummy.

Cheesecake Cookies
1 cup flour
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
6 tablespoons butter or margarine - softened
8 ounces cream cheese - softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
2 Tablespoons milk
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
½ teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup chopped peanuts or almonds
Stir together flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter till mixture forms fine crumbs. Reserve 1 cup of the crumb mixture for topping. Press remainder over bottom of a 8 X 8 X2 inch baking pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes.
In mixer bowl cream the cream cheese and sugar. Add egg, milk, lemon juice, and vanilla; beat well. Spread over partially baked crust.
Combine nuts with reserved crumbs; sprinkle over the top.
Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes.
Cut and remove from the pan. Refrigerate over night before eating.
